Wellness is a personal journey that leads us to connect with ourselves, our surroundings, and the world around us. And this journey has no final destination, but rather is nourished by every step we take, every action we take to improve our physical and emotional health.
This year, from September 20th to 22nd, the World Wellness Weekend is being celebrated, a global event that seeks to promote well-being in all its forms. And Blue Caribbean Properties, with its commitment to sustainability and the well-being of our communities, joins this celebration with an activity that fills us with pride: Keeping it Blue.
Keeping it Blue: A Commitment to Cleanliness and Wellness
For several years now, Blue Caribbean has been working on the Keeping it Blue initiative, a program that seeks to promote the cleaning of streets and public spaces in our communities in Mexico, Punta Cana, and Santo Domingo.
With Keeping it Blue, we not only seek to improve the aesthetics of our environments, but also want to generate a positive impact on the health of our communities. Garbage and environmental pollution directly affect our physical and mental health, and with this initiative, we seek to create a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone.
A Space Dedicated to Action
During the World Wellness Weekend, we will be organizing a series of activities within the framework of Keeping it Blue, that will include:
1. Cleaning Days
With the participation of volunteers, cleaning days will be held at different points in our communities. These days will be an opportunity for the community to actively participate in creating a cleaner and healthier environment.
2. Garbage Collection
Volunteers will be responsible for collecting garbage from streets, parks, beaches, etc. They will be provided with garbage bags, gloves, and other necessary materials. Waste separation into different containers will be encouraged to facilitate recycling of special waste such as tires, old appliances, or hazardous waste.
3. Beach & Street Cleaning
Volunteers will be organized into groups to tackle the task of cleaning beaches of garbage, plastics, and other debris. This will involve collecting and sorting waste, ensuring proper disposal, and leaving the beach pristine for everyone to enjoy.
We’ll also be cleaning parks, removing litter that can accumulate in these green spaces. This will help to create a more welcoming and enjoyable environment for visitors and the local community. By working together, we can keep our parks vibrant and healthy.
More than just a cleaning, a change of mindset
Keeping it Blue goes beyond a simple street cleaning. It is about a change of mindset, a transformation in the way we relate to our environment. It is a commitment to sustainability and well-being, a call to action to care for our planet and our communities.
We invite you to join Blue Caribbean in celebrating the World Wellness Weekend. You can participate in the cleaning days, share information about the Keeping it Blue initiative on your social networks, or simply become aware of the importance of taking care of our environment. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for everyone.
